Yahoo News claims “Transgender men can get pregnant”

Apparently it is possible for transgender men to get pregnant and have babies just like any female becoming a mother according to a news article by Yahoo Live News.
Yahoo journalist, David Artavia, who is also a former editor in chief of “Out” and “The Advocate” magazines, described as “the nation’s leading LGBTQ publications”, wrote this investigating article on the topic recently on Yahoo, “Transgender men can get pregnant. Here’s what they wish more people understood”.
Artavia came to the following conclusion after several interviews with transgender men that claim that they were pregnant or already had given birth, and after statements made by Dr. Juno Obedin-Maliver, assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine and, that it is fully possible for transgender men to get pregnant and give birth to babies.
According to Dr. Juno Obedin-Maliver, who “specializes in the gynecological and reproductive health care needs of sexual and gender minority people which include but are not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) people”, the society at large and the medical establishment has “little knowledge about pregnancy in the trans male population.”
“Anyone born with a uterus, ovaries and tubes” has the capacity to become pregnant Obedin-Maliver tells Yahoo and goes on:
Transgender men, people born with female anatomy who live and identify as men, sometimes undergoing gender-affirming care through surgeries and/or testosterone and sometimes not, can get pregnant in the same way anyone with reproductive organs can, says Obedin-Maliver. That includes penetrative sex with someone with sperm as well as through assistive reproductive technology (ART), such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF), she concludes.
Here are some of the transgender men that was interviewed. One of the transgender men is Kayden Coleman, a “gay transgender man”, meaning his gender is “trans male” and his sexual orientation, something “separate and different”, is gay”. And he is also a father to two daughters, 9 and 2, and has been on testosterone for 14 years. He went off during both pregnancies at the advice of his doctor but was still taking doses of the hormone when he discovered he was pregnant. Both times unplanned, Yahoo Live reports.
