Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian general Robert Brovdi.

A Ukrainian general by the name of Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign “Madyar,” issued a statement on behalf of a million armed soldiers, forbidding President Volodymyr Zelensky from negotiating with Russia or making territorial concessions. Or else he threatens to send the troops to Kiev, according to Ukrainian journalist, Diana Panchenko’s interpretation on X.

Brovdi, a prominent figure in Ukraine’s army, has gained recognition for his leadership of the drone reconnaissance unit “Madyar’s Birds,” which has been active in various military operations in the war against Russian forces, stated that “the war will not end by the new year, but its format will change”, and he continued on; “if our government talks with Russian freaks not in the interest of the Ukrainian people, we will make them regret”.

Brovdi was also quoted stating, “There are millions of us, who will return from the war, and we did not waste time here”, and “that there will be troubles for everyone” if the Zelensky regime does something that is against the interests of Brovdi’s armed forces.

Brovdi’s statement has raised concerns about potential divisions within Ukraine’s military and political leadership. As of now, there has been no official response from President Zelensky or the Ukrainian government regarding Brovdi’s declaration.

The situation remains unclear, and further developments are awaited to understand the implications of this obvious internal dissent within Ukraine’s armed forces.
