UK: Starmer prepared to send British troops to Ukraine

The UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Sunday that he is willing to send British troops to Ukraine in order to uphold a potential peace agreement.

This is the first time Starmer has explicitly stated that he is considering sending British “peacekeeping” forces to Ukraine. The announcement comes hours before a meeting with other European leaders in Paris.

“Britain is ready to take a leading role in accelerating the work on security guarantees for Ukraine,” writes Starmer on The Telegraph.

Starmer’s headline in the article, “Potentially putting Britons in harm’s way is a huge responsibility – but we must be ready to do our bit for Europe”, where he clearly means that he is ready to take greater risks and confront Russia even more if necessary, beyond what the UK has already done with its involvement in the war, both directly and indirectly, on the Kiev regime’s side.
