U.S. senator, Lindsey Graham (R).

It was during a press conference where U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham defended Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had received an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC), that he claimed the ICC was making a major mistake and violating its own statutes with this move.

According to Graham, the ICC and its statutes were created solely for Russia, countries in Africa, and not for Israel or countries in the Western world.

– The Rome Statute does not apply to Israel or the U.S., or France, or Germany, or the UK, because it was not meant to go after us. We have our legal systems in place, said Graham, and continued:

– So that’s the correct answer, and frankly, the only answer.
