The President of Riksbanken, the Central Bank of Sweden, Erik Thedéen says in an interview, that people should stop taking the Central banks financial forecasts seriously, by comparing it to the credibility of wheater forecasts.

“I think it is worrying that people trust our forecasts,” says Erik Thedéen in a discussion about the rising inflation in the country and the bank’s attempts to control it by raising the interest rate further more than it already has.

Thedéen advises people to have the same credibility view in financial prognoses as they have for weather forecasts.

“You should probably have a little more of the attitude you have about meteorologists’ forecasts”, said Thedéen to SVT.
