Popular password security storage website LastPass has been hacked – Sensitive data might be in the hands of criminals

LastPass has announced that their website has been hacked, and that sensitive information like passwords and other data might be in the hands of the hackers.

LastPass is a website that offers security storage for sensitive data like passwords and has been very popular for many people and companies.

“We have determined that an unauthorized party, using information obtained in the August 2022 incident, was able to gain access to certain elements of our customers’ information”, wrote the CEO of LastPass, Karim Toubba in a statement on the website, and also stated that they are “working diligently to understand the scope of the incident and identify what specific information has been accessed.

According to Karim Toubba, the LastPass products and services remain fully functional despite the cyber attack against the website.
