There is an increasing normalization of antisemitism in the United States. This is according to Amy Spitalnick, CEO of the NGO group, Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA), who also believes that celebrities like West and Musk are a big part of.
Spitalnick told Haaretz that “Kanye West isn’t the only reason we’re seeing increasingly normalized antisemitism. Elon Musk isn’t the only reason antisemitism is increasing,” and continued claiming that “It’s part of this broader normalization of antisemitism where it went from the fringes of social media and the internet to the mainstream of our political and social discourse.”
Spitalnick went on about antisemitism and said that, “If we can’t unequivocally condemn it, no matter where it exists, it’s only going to continue to be normalized.”
During Super Bowl, Kanye West sold swastika t-shirts on his official Ye webstore.
Elon Musk is often blamed for allowing “free speech” on his platform X, and thereby allowing antisemitic content to be posted.
