Germany has decided to send tanks to Ukraine – Nationalist party warns about the consequences: “Your grandfathers have already tried that”… “ending with Russian tanks in Berlin”

Germany has finally decided to send the German tanks, Leopard 2, to Ukraine in the war against Russia, German media Der Spiegel reports.
The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, has efter pressures from NATO-allies like Poland and USA, decided to deliver the battle tanks following “months of debate” within the German politics.
The German parliament is due to debate the contentious issue on Wednesday morning.
By sending Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, described as a modern and powerful military vehicle, it is believed to be able to halt a potential Russian offensive during the spring.
Sending Leopard 2 and other military equipment to Ukraine to fight Russia, is a hot potatoe for Germany, with regards to the country’s two historical world wars against Russia, which ended with a Russian victory both times, the last one when Nazi Germany decided to invade the Soviet Union in June 1941. A decision that devides German politicians.
The German nationalistic party, AfD, and its party member Petr Bystron, oppose the decision to send the tanks to Ukraine and express warnings about the potentail outcome of the war that according to AfD could mean another loss.
“German tanks against Russia in Ukraine… Hmm? By the way, your grandfathers have already tried to do it then with Melnyks and Banderas, and what is the result? Untold suffering, millions of deaths on both sides, and in the end Russian tanks are here in Berlin. And two of them is standing here in front of the Bundestag, and you should pass them every morning and remember it.”, said Petr Bystron, AfD, in one of many debates that has been held the last month in German politics.
