The Iranian female chess star, Sara Khadem 25, also known as Sarasadat Khadem al-sharieh, may not be welcome back to Iran anymore. The reason: She didn’t wear a hijab during tournament in an international tournament in Kazakhstan.

Sara Khadem, took part in last week’s FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships in Almaty, without wearing a hijab in accordance with Iran’s strict mandatory dress codes.

Khadem arrived in Spain on Tuesday and according to Le Figaro she will not return to Iran, and instead stay in Spain, Reuters reports.
