The former World Chess Champion, Garri Kasparov and the controversial oligarch, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who once was the richest person in Russia, are said to be the next presidential candidates in Russia, at least if the West has anything to say about it, according to the Russian newspaper Pravda who portrays them as “actors”.
In a response to an article that Kasparov and Khodorkovsky wrote in Foreign Affairs magazine – both known to be very critical of the Kremlin and the Russian president Vladimir Putin – called “Don’t Fear Putin’s Demise”, were they call for more weapons to be sent to Ukraine, and claiming that “the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin is living on borrowed time”, and that “Putin’s regime will likely collapse in the near future”, Pravda writes that the West has already basically handpicked their two “actors” in Kasparov and Khodorkovsky, as their next candidates to become the new president in a “Russia after Putin”.
“The West has prepared a ‘Russia after Putin’ plan and already chose its actors in the face of Garry Kasparov* and Mikhail Khodorkovsky*, who suddenly developed an affection for the Russian people. They are waiting for the ‘window of opportunity’ to open”, writes Pravda.
The newspaper also writes that Kasparov and Khodorkovsky “work for the West, rather than for the Russian people” due to the circumstances that they once were recognised as foreign agents in the Russian Federation according to Pravda.
