It’s no exaggeration to claim that the “Mother of the year”-award will not go to Michigan woman Kendra Gail Licari 42, this year. The woman was arrested on charges of cyberbullying and harassment of her own teenage daughter and her boyfriend for over a year online on the Internet.
It’s not clear why Licari acted like she did in this very bizarre story. It’s reported that Licari disguised herself as a typical cybertroll, by acting like a typical “bullying” teenager herself, using juvenile language and behavior to cover her tracks as much as possible. She even used a VPN (virtual private network) to hide her identity and IP-number, making it difficult for the authorities to identify her.
After a time of bullying, the daughter turned to her mother for help. Licari then reported the cyberbullying to the police so they could get “help” to find the “bully”.
Licari had during approximately a year sent over hundred text messages with disturbing and humiliating content. Sometimes she could send up to 12 threating messages a day. You can’t make this sh*t up!
The FBI got involved in the case and their experts could after a year long of investigations manage to pass around the VPN and tie the criminal acts to Licari.
Licari is now, if she is convicted, facing up to 10 years in prison. Licari was also charged for stalking an other minor and obstructing justice, which could give her an additional 5 years behind bars.
Licari worked as a basketball coach at her daughter’s school at the time of her actions.
