A Joe Biden administration nuclear waste official, Sam Brinton, has been fired from his job after being accused of stealing airport luggage containing women’s clothing and expensive jewelry that was caught on video, for the second time.

According to The Daily Beast a Department of Energy spokesperson told the news website on Monday that, “Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee,” and that they by law, “cannot comment further on personnel matters.”

Sam Brinton, is an American nuclear engineer, a non-binary drag queen and a LGBTQ activist, who was in October 2022 charged with felony theft, after allegedly stealing a woman’s suitcase from a Minneapolis–St. Paul Airport baggage carousel.

The criminal complaint alleged that Brinton did not have any checked luggage, and placed the suitcase’s baggage tag in their handbag before leaving with the suitcase. A hearing related to the complaint is scheduled for December 19, 2022.

On December 8, 2022, Brinton was arrested for being accused of stealing airport luggage for the second time, this time from the Harry Reid International Airport at Las Vegas on July 6, 2022.
